Re-Fabrication: Creative Industrial Incubator
Undergraduate Thesis Project
In this architectural thesis, a former shipyards facility in Newburgh NY is re-activated for the use, promotion, and cyclical incubation of the artisan population of Newburgh, as well as any and all interested migrating parties.
The hypothesis being that if the artisans are given needed space and advertising platforms, then their development and work will not only satisfy their own creative needs in the short term, but their collaborative education and environment will foster a tradition of co-creation to be taken into the heart of the city and ultimately reverse the overtly negative reputation therein.RoleAuthor/Designer DateSeptember 2018 – May 2019
